I have a freeze thermostat and I'd like to verify it will work properly. It has continuity at room termperature, but I can't seem to get the sensing bulb cold enough to open the circuit. How much surface area of the bulb must get cold / to what temperature (I assume just under 32F)?

~35°F. Depends on the control.

I've been tinkering with the adjustment and got it to work in a cup of ice. Hopefully it will work correctly now!
