I have a round Honeywell thermostat from about 1970. It is for both heating and air conditioning. It works just fine. I have to remove it from the wall to replace the wallpaper behind it. Mechanically, how do I remove it please? I don't want to start unscrewing screws without knowing which screws to remove.

Thanks, Henry

Do the three screws look like they are flat heads and are slightly below the subbase?

Thanks, Henry

I'd get rid of that old mercury thermostat, and get a new one.
