View Full Version : Can you explain this seemingly wrong PT relation?
I got this unused one step 28 oz can of r410a from
http://marielusa.homestead.com/refrigerants.html
I measure the can's pressure: 258 psig
I measure the can temperature: 77 F (room temperature)
R410a PT chart says 258 psig = 86 F
Or 77F = 226 psi
What's going on?

Either your measurements are inaccurate or it's not pure refrigerant.

MGuy Do you have the mini vacuum pump and scale too?
I saw those a few years back and was interested if the vacuum pump was any good.
Strap a thermocouple to the side of the can and insulate it uf you want an accurate measuremwnt.

Adjusting charge on your YZF yourself. Can cause your contractor to void your warranty with him.

Oh boy
Never mind MGuy
I' ll investigate further to see if it's an error in measurements or not pure refrigerant.
Thanks for your time.
