the big problem with this country is the baby-boomer generation who is under the false impression they have things because they worked for it.
in fact, that generation is still living off the legacy of what's left of the U.S. Constitution and the rights they had when they were younger.
...a document that they no longer understand or have any pledge to risk their lives fortunes or sacred honor.
the Socialists spread their poison in America, and after the bombings, threats, and efforts to unionize workers to shut down plants during wars (including the beginning of WW2) the Socialist machine simply told the public it was all a big illusion, a modern day hunt for witches that didn't exist.
a few years later a Marxist cell , starring Lee Oswald, kills a President in broad daylight, and Americans are STILL walking around saying "gee, i wonder what happened? i know it wasn't Communists because the TV said they don't exist"
ever since then, the Socialists, or what ever they call themselves now, have been passing one law after another to destroy the country.
the government uses EPA laws to close plants and open in other countries with Socialist slave labor.
the government uses the EPA to make products expendable, causing us more expense.
the government runs business out of the country with taxes, fees, and tariffs, for the sake of equalizing the loser countries of the world.
the government has no respect for Christianity, and tells us "Congress shall make no law ... religion, .. prohibiting the free exercise thereof" means that Christianity can not be seen or heard.
the government refuses to enforce drug laws, and is actually legalizing drugs, because the rich want to make profit of off the sickness of Americans.
the government refuses to restrain businesses who rip off the public.
the government insists on illegal immigrants coming to the country to plunder.
the government refuses to tell the schools that they have to teach American constitutional history
the government insists on embracing perversion.
we have a government that insists on sinking the public into debt.
none of the branches of government know what their job is.
Americans are trading their Bill of Rights for nothing.
how do we call this country a "democracy" or a "representative republic" when 70% of the nation wants enforcement of immigration law, and the government simply says no?
where is the anger from the public when the government ignores constitutional law?
never in my life have i seen so many people walk away from responsibility.
why do Americans think they will have good things by doing nothing?
Americans think that if they keep their mouth shut they will have prosperity for one more day, and everything will work out for the best.
what ever little fortune you build up, isn't going to be worth anything.
perhaps the younger generation will have the answers, leave the burden to them.
Americans think the right to vote means voting for what ever Obama / Romney traitor is placed in front of you.
i've had a taste of the new America and i feel very, very, sorry for the future generations.
people who will pay a lot of money for promises, and will work to only spin their wheels and accomplish nothing.

I agree!!! But what power do you and I as individuals have to do about it?
Government overpowers me and tramples my rights on a daily basis. If I resist I am singled out for special treatment, unwelcome treatment at that.
The best I have at my disposal is my vote which I have been casting in each election and my choices are not that great. Basically I am powerless.
I am open to your ideas. How do I get my country back?
If you want to know whats coming study the past. Empires rise and fall and there's not a damn thing we can do about it. Caesar appointed himself temporary dictatorship over the Roman empire knowing that the Roman citizen had reached their zenith of societal evolution. They were satisfied and complacent.
You cant stop human nature or the inevitable devolution of a society just so it can evolve again. There is nothing new under the sun and one of the most poignant and true statements out there that explains just about everything was told to me by my Dad.
" Boy, the only thing thats consistent in life is change "
If we truly evolvled we would have reached the perfect society a long time ago.
We evolve so we can devolve so we can evolve...
We change so we can change again...
Ive been telling people for years we are on a downward trend

You still have a system which you can change. Is it really that impossible to think that you could kick out the republicans AND democrats?
They're obviously making bad choices for common people, but the common people hold 95% of the vote.

The solution to me is clear, you need a grassroots campaign for neither of the current powers. The 2 party system is divisive with dichotomies on stupid issues that really don't matter, and they're winning on the fact alone that you are divided.

Diane Fienstien just Gerrymandered her way into another term.
there was 20 people running against her.
what can you do when the people don't ask who the clear Republican candidate is?
i counted up the opposing votes and she would have lost by 2%
there is no one out here, besides me, who even noticed what happened

No just kick out all the Democrats and liberal Republicans and then you would be left with real Americans. Thank you very much.

And that's why you're all getting screwed.
DUR Republicans good/ democrats bad.
And then you've got the another idiot...
DUR democrats good/ republicans bad.
Its a 50/50 split and they're riding it all the way to the bank. I bet most of these people don't even vote on actual policy, or understand how that policy affects everyone. I think of it like this, THAT 100% of republicans and democrats are bending you over, and have been for the last 12 years, with no end in sight, i add...

Glenns new USA (all lefts and libs kicked out), not so populated.
So Glenn he goes to the local store, now 100miles away.
Then suddenly this giant of man, called "Grizzly" taps Glenn on the shoulder and says.
"howdy neighbor"
They chat for a while, and finf that Grizzly live 30 miles up the valley from Glenn.
Grizzly says.
"Being Christmas, i would like to be neighborly and invite thee to my xmas party"
Glenn nods in approval. and says "what going to happen"
Griz says.
"firstly, lots of drinking, beers and whiskey"
"then some fighting"
"then heaps of sex"
This puts a smile on Glenn's face, as it looks to be one hell of a good party.
As Glenn leaves, accepting the invite, he asks a final question.
"who going to be at the party"
Griz says "just thee and me"
Do I hear Glenn shouting????? "bring back those Liberals".

Well that's sad to hear, If those 20 people had similar ideas and policy, why did they not drop the ego and run behind someone?

The Tea Party movement is made of people who are fed up with the US government. They are working to replace those in government who continue to spend more and increase the size of government.
They were very effective in 2010. They have not gone away.
This is one of many Tea Party organizations:

This is a short history of the Tea Party movement:

As much as I respect the tea party they're succeptible to all of the same temptations as any other politician and eventually will bend to special interest if in power long enough.

Getting our country back is really simple... however each one of us has to step out and do what I list below:
One: Every one of us needs to carefully study the US founding documents, so we KNOW what America is about (Declaration, Constitution, Bill/Rights, Amendments)
Two: Remove ALL govt operated safety nets. Charity has to be local and NOT connected to the govt.
Three: Go to a fully FREE MARKET system... where folks that know how to work survive and the ones who do not... well they will learn pretty fast when they are hungry.
When we get back to a society of rugged individuals who take care of themselves (rather than support govt corruption for a free-bee), we will be on the road to regaining our freedoms.
The problem with this approach is all the govt programs we get $$$ and/or favors from. Each one of us has to STOP taking ANYTHING from anyone that was paid for with tax $$$, NO exceptions.
A polecats power is in taxation and spending. Take that away (both supply and demand), and the polecats will be powerless talking heads.
Now, how many of us are willing to actually do what I typed?

Small government or maybe no government would be better, that's some strong talk. Makes one yearn for a place like Somolia.

The government rarely takes my advice :grin2: But since folks seem to think that big business is good with the economies of scale in companies such as Walmart, HD, etc I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't see that these same economies of scale could provide savings for the general population when applied to government. I always hear about how we need a businessman to run the government but these very same people don't want to run the government as a business.

Your statement is based on a mistaken assumption.
The Tea Party movement is not a political party. It's not a bunch of politicians looking for votes. It's a grass roots movement. It's a rebellion. Its goal is to replace the politicians who are mangling the constitution in the name of "general welfare" and "interstate commerce."
Citizens of a democracy or a democratic republic must remain vigilant if the nation is to survive. The constitution isn't a self-correcting instrument which rights itself when its application is out of whack.
And right now, even the Supreme Court is out of whack. Look what it does to individual rights when commercial developers claim that projected higher tax revenues justify stealing land and habitat from individual homeowners, regardless of the government's failure to provide public service.
How do citizens exercise vigilance? They don't rely on 20-year incumbent goofs in the belief that they'll figure it out sooner or later. They observe their government in action. They organize. They replace public office holders.
They form tea parties.
Maybe in 20 or 30 years, when the liberals realize the mess that they created, they will change their tune. Probably not.
Of course then the 1960 liberals will be dead and we will have a new adversary, the immigrants.

20 or 30 years should be enough time for China to be able to take us over. I was reading a few days ago they will be able to take out our GPS satellites soon since we've given up space for the most part, which could render all our shiny planes & ships blind.
Isn't the majority of the world communist and socialist now that we are joining in?
