What brand of Sling Psychrometer does everyone like to use? Does anyone use the Fieldpiece head?

I'll say this from a younger guys perspective. Waste all your money on all the digital psychrometers that you will. I have and decided that the good old fashioned sling is really the most reliable. I use distilled water. If I want more than the 5 % RH accuracy of the scale then I use the psychrometric chart.
O.K so maybe I hate the chart, I use a program on my PDA called EzAir when looking for more than wet bulb. Believe me when I tell you when you look goofy slinging it, in the end you really have an accurate wet bulb. I was at a residential install about two weeks ago and a 23. year old blonde was really interested in understanding my slinging.

I wonder how the calibartion references work and how they last....
I once read that the best way to calibrate a humidity sensor was to place the sensor in a plastic baggie with a good sized pile of really damp salt in the bag....wait 24 hours and the air in the bag should be at 100 percent humidity.
You wouldnt have to place the whole sfrychomter in the bag with the salt...just the sensor end....possibly seal it with a rubber band or something.... I wonder if the heavy salt air would attack the metal in and on the sensor....some electronic humidity sensors I have seen have gold plated parts....but Im sure not all of them do.

I'm looking at purchasing a Testo 605-H2 "humidity stick".
http://www.testo.com.cn/en/site/products/show.asp?ProductId=111
It does what the 605-H1 linked previously does, but it also displays wet bulb temperature, so you don't have to calculate it.

I have the Amprobe kind.... It's a little slow, but it does work. Does the Fluke version respond faster or is that just how they all are?

Bacharach. my third one in 14 years. As long as they keep selling me new bulbs everytime I smash one, I'll keep using it!

I have the feild piece one and love it, I used to have just the digtal hand held one and it always seemed to give false readings so I got the accessory head. Love it!
have had a Talor sling for years. Does fine for me but if I was measuring humidity in a duct...... I would be out of luck.
