Do any of you know what the advanced pressure calibration is for ? I tried it on a can of 404A today I keep getting ERR. Tried on a drum of R22 it said GOOD.

The advanced calibration was put in so you could calibrate to a known bottle of refrigerant. Some gov't utility rebate programs require this. You do have to do on a refrigerant bottle that is very stable in temperature. First calibrate the thermocouple to ice water and then tape it to the side of the bottle with insulated tape. It's best if the bottle of refrigerant has been sitting in the same temperature room for several hours before doing this.

However this is something you shouldn't have to do very often. The SMAN comes factory calibrated so you likely won't need to do it for at least a year unless you are required by law to do it.
