zone sensor trane

I just started a new job, they have a trane rtu with the ucb. The unit is not running. The guy I replaced had a t-stat hooked up but it was for a 24volt. He had replaced the original stat which was a zone sensor baysenoo8 five wire. I found the sensor in his shop. It isn't working. I can jump the low v. term. for the test proceedor and unit will run and cool. But will eventually stop. Question..does it have to be the baysen0008?? i understand they are obsolete.

go to your local trane dist and buy there ZSM all are close to the same .

thanks...so the five wires 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 will work..on other stats then?

NO, ONLY on trane zsm's some older zsm's only have 4wire
connections
and hook up is 1-1 2-2 3-3 and so on
