I'm trying to clear up a question I still have. I have a new 3 ton, two-stage condenser, which is typically supposed to run low-speed 1st stage cooling 80% of the time, according to the brochure and contractor. I have it matched with variable speed blower. Does that then mean the actual compressor component is also performing closer to 1 1/2 tons during that 1st stage mode, instead of the rated full 3 tons of the condenser unit?? Trying to get that question straight before I go back to my contractor on what I think is some short cycling going on with my system. Thanks if anyone can clear up that point. -Ken
