noisy compressor

I have a 2 year old Arcoaire a/c condensor coil and the compressor is a copeland and when it starts up and runs, it has a continous high pitch buzzing sound! The installer placed the condensor on my existing concrete slab! Do I possibly have a bad compressor or is the noise reverberating from the concrete or do I need what is called "a pad"

It is difficult enough to determine compressor noise issues when a good tech is actually working on a system. There is no way to tell from here.

it could be the fan motor. have your tech run the fan only and see if the noise is it.
