Iam am a certified tech and work mainly in the commercial feild. Recently a family member contacted me and asked if I could replace their 13 year old heat pump,I said sure. The old heat pump was a Trane model#twr736a100a1, the new one I installed is a Payne (a knock off of a Bryant). I installed a new lineset and indoor coil(13 seer)and a new t-stat but kept the Trane air handler. The old heat pump was a 6 wire low voltage hook up and the new is a 5.I re wired everything in accordance with the new heat pump specs and it will not cool, only heat even in cool mode.Maybe a reverseing valve problem from the factory? It is in the high 90's here in Indiana and I need to figure it out asap. Any ideas guys?

Register as a Pro, and ask questions in the Pro tech forum.
Did you install a digital stat, and tell the stat to energize O for cooling.

You don't have the low votage right AND you may have big problems this winter!
On the Resi. form - - - You need to call someone who knows what they are doing! :(

Once your listed as a pro, you can get the info you need in the pro forum.
A split heatpump isn't much differrent then a package heat pump.

energise and de-energise the rv, and it will tell you if that's the prob.
