Reflectix for outside of AH

I was up in my 120+ degree attic and I noticed that my Trane VS air handler's cabinet was hot to the touch. Would using a radiant barrier on top of the AH make it stay any cooler? Everything is good with the AC system, and I'm sure Tranes can handle the heat. But if the cabinet were cooler, wouldn't it run more efficiently?

Have a radient barrier sprayed on the underside of the roof, cool the whole attic down. ;)
