Does refrigerator evaporator get dirty?

I know the condenser fan and coil on a refrigerator get dirty and need occasional cleaning. It's looks like it would be simple to remove a panel in the back of the freezer and check the evaporator. Just wondering if it's worth the effort.

On some models spills can drip onto the evap and make a sticky mess back there.. might as well check it if it's easy to get to.

I wouldnt less there was a promblem with smell or temp or drain promblem,them things are time consuming.

Most evaporators on fridges I run across are clean..... where I find most problems are in the condenser fan area....

Clean under the fridge....clean the fan and condenser...even if its a once a year cleaning....
