What version of turbocor are you asking about?
the mcQuay version or Multistack or any other version?

...they are too new for anyone to claim that they are the answer to anything.
The McQuay I've seen is very quiet. A lot of electronics that are all on the compressor, and then three PLC sort of devices in a panel running the chiller. A spoonful of oil, I'm told, is all that's in it.
I'd prefer the McQuay over the Multistack, hands down.

They are the answer to "a noise sensitive area" for sure.
As for anything else The retrofit deal isn't bad either.
If you are going to be servicing a unit with this compressor go to the Turbocor school or your going to be lost.
