View Full Version : mini-split system 18,000 btu
Here is next week I got a customer who wants to install one of those fujitsu mini-split systems.I was wondering if any of you guys up there deal with these kinds of applications.It would give me a heads up on what to expect.Any comments would be appreciated.this system is 410A 12 seers.Later in the week I will post pictures and let you know how it came out.

ive done about adozen fujitsu mini splits.i did them fur curves a fitness outfit here in ny.there good units.heres some tips always use those flare connections no exceptions.bolt them down no exceptions.dont use aregular size pump for condensation,it looks ridicules hanging on a wall.and if you buy the mini pumps connect a backup.there charging methods can vary obvioulsly if its a410a system.ihavent put any 410a fujitswu in.only 22 fujitsu.follow the pattern the give you custumer duesnt want to see ahole on the side cause the hole for the linesets to big.easy to over charge ,charge vapor iprefer not to weigh in with these systems.

find out before you go to do install if you need a fitting adapter to put guages on 410 system. i know sanyo you do, not sure on others.

just put 1 in a week ago...u do need an adapter to get gauges on--just like the sanyo.

Daikin R410a units need that adapter too, and they come with it.

it is all done guys here it is.this is how i did run the line set. you was right cnytech and t527ed i did need the adapter

nice looking job. i just finished up a 12,000 sanyo heat pump today. could not believe how quiet that little sucker was.

LOL. Excellent job!
P/S: My neighbour is using a 1 ton York split unit. I can barely hear the unit even when I am about few feets from it.

Shouldn’t that 12/2 going to the indoor unit be in seal tight also???
