I have a few questions for you all.

first, the air handler part no. TWE049E13FB is listed on tranes web site for R22 and the heat pump is 4TWX6048A1000A is listed for 410A.Is this a mistake or can they be used togeather?

Second, the "comfort specialist" suggested we use the existing lineset (1/4 liquid and 3/4 suction). To be fare this was befor we had decided which system to use- but I am under the impression that this is a bad idea even if the lines were of sufficent size.In any case I told him they would be providing all new lines.

Last question- When I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor and didn't get one- is this normal? thanks

Possibly just a typo there, but that air handler is not compatable with R-410a, the correct air handler is a 4TEE3F49A1. It is exactly the same as the TWE049E, but has a R-410a coil and TXV.

Absolutely have new refrigerant lines run. That system calls for a 7/8" vapor line and 3/8" liquid line.
If the lines are not very long, the 3/4 vapor line would work, but the 1/4" liquid line for a 4 ton system is not acceptable.

Absolutely normal, I don't know any company that breaks down parts and labor for system installs.

Thanks for the answers - talked to the salesman and it's all resolved now.
