That's what we are...to the elitists of this nation...a recently new form of the public. We use to be old, young, tall, short, black, white but now we are either plumbers or the elite.

Our dear V.P. made comment about being a plumber -- which means you, we are not smart. He really implied dumb.

Anyone who works for a living is a plumber to these folks now. I think they would, if they could, take our right to vote from us because we don't have enough intelligence to think things through, understand the basics of life or pretty much anything. It's a wonder we can find our way home each night.

Anyway, if we, the responsible ones of and in this nation don't start to take our nation back this November, if not sooner, well, we all just as well should run up and alley and yell fish!

Oddly enough when I grew up I knew of plumbers that made more money than some attorneys. And a working man/woman in any kind of trade was respected and acknowledged to be a good addition to the strength and backbone of this country.

I hope his 'plumbers' knew what they were doing when his home needs it's fire suppression system to work.

Look at the bright side.
Every time a building catches on fire the media says a plummer did it with a torch.
Evidently us hvac guys are much safer.

Having dinner at one of the really original mexican food restaurants around here last night and got talking to the couple in the next booth. Ends up he's plumber and as soon as he found out I'm an HVAC guy first words out of this mouth is "you guys are always getting in us plumbers way with all your duct stuff when we got to run our pipe". So we get the blame for some stuff too.

Sounds like he thought you where an electrician.

Sounds like he thought you where an electrician.

We brought that subject up too. Being in the HVAC trade we are electrician, plumbers, sheet metal, and psychologists to name a few.

I mainly do trouble shooting so I get hit with the after effects of all the trades competing for room but I use to do a lot of Start & Tests where I would get involved with who gets to be in the way first.

He said he tries to get on the job first to run his main line stuff before all the other trades who runs stuff get there.

Tell him that's why we have to run flexible and he should too.

Ole Uncle Joe doesn't mean any harm, he just can't keep his foot out of his mouth.

I have told other trades (to their face) that when they plumb or wire around our ducts, it does NOT affect the performance of their work, BUT when we have to duct around their work it affects the air flow and performance of COMFORT to the home owner.
So far, that statement has not offended anyone, and they understand why it is important for us to be FIRST to get stuff installed.....

There is an old joke about plumbers and lawyers

A lawyer is having a big house party to celebrate a recent case he has won. He has all sorts of guests arriving and the next thing he knows, the toilet is clogged. He calls an after hour plumbing service and the guy sais 'no prob, i'll be right out.' The guy gets there, looks at the toilet, goes out to his truck, grabs some **** and the next thing the lawyer knows, the toilet is fixed. 'Wow thanks alot pal' he sais. 'No prob' sais the plumber and hands him a $300 invoice. The lawyer looks at it and sais '300!?!? you where only here less than an hour! that's more than i charge an hour!' 'yeah' sais the plumber 'that's mopre than i charged when i was a lawyer too.' :)
