When looking at the EER on this unit 6.732, cost of repairs over it's life 4th. week of 1971(1 compressor contactor) you can't beat it with a stick.

One of the best ever made. The guy that got me into the trade installed hundreds of those things. Now that he's gone, RIP, I still service a lot of them. Run her till she dies.

The key to anything made well is spelled out on the bottom..."made in USA". I installed a carrier ductless last year, said Made in Israel.

flick,

I wonder if in 1974, the old timers were saying "they don't make em like they used to".

People wonder why we Trane folks are so loyal !!!!

ONE DAY WORKING ON THE HEAT PUMP VERSION A RENTER WAS DISTRACTING ME WITH BLA BLA QUESTIONS. I WAS LIT UP BY THE COMPRESSOR RUN CAP ON MY ELBOW WHILE THE UNIT WAS RUNNIN. 477V LIFTED ME OFF THE GROUND AND THATS NO CHIT.I'M 260 LBS AND IT LIFTED ME LIKE A PIECE OF PAPER.I DON'T KNOW WHO SCREAMED LOUDER BUT I KNOW MINE WAS WAY MORE OFFENSIVE.
