From a former FBI agent on anti-terrorism:

The TSA must be at Master Level 99 of incompetence :grin2:
read the article and decide for yourself whether the TSA is a good idea or not

The primary mission of the TSA is digging thru your dirty drawers behind the ticketing agency.

TSA took 3 bottled waters from my checked luggage one time. Of course they mysteriously forgot to leave one of those slip of paper that say's your luggage was gone through. TSA agents are not even subject to a backround check....which is why they have crooks, fools and perverts working for them. God help us all when they get the power to place us under arrest.

I would think anyone working in a airport is subject to background checks. At least when I applied for maintenance they screened.

I'll stand half corrected....full backround checks.
google search: tsa background check for agents
Still, I went through more scrutiny to get access to GSA and other federal buildings to work on their HVAC.

I'll bet even McDonalds screens their people better. Govt agencies are run with YOUR money. They need to show no profit or even common sense about anything. None of them would last a day in the real world. H.S. dropouts gotta work somewhere.

It seem that TSA does not answer to congress or the senate. They seem to be an independent branch of government.
