I have finally decided on a HVAC company and decided to go with American Standard Platinum.
My question is american standard offers packages that meet the tax credit rules. However the pair the 4A7A6036E 3TON AC Unit with only a 2.5TON air handler TAM7A0B30H21SA
I am told they do this because they do not make 2.5TON AC's and that by pairing the above model numbers together it gets the most energy effeciant at 18.5 seer.
As this is all new to me I am relying on you guys to help me out. The HVAC company will install either a 2.5 ton air handler or 3 ton if I want but I want to make sure I make the right choice.
