Rheem Ambient Temperature Sensor?

The Rheem (-)ARL-JEC Condensing units all have a ambient temperature sensor. Is it possible to connect the Honeywell Pro 8000 thermostat to read the sensor?

The pro8000 has the remote sensor option to display temperature only but I'm not sure how I would connect it to the sensor on the condensing unit. They have data wire 1 & 2 connecting points? Is it as simple as connecting one of the leftover thermostat wires to data wire 1 and then connect the other end to the S1 optional outdoor remote sensor on the Honeywell stat.

Other than using a communicating stat with the JEC and a communicating air handler, you'd need to have a dedicated outdoor sensor for your non Rheem communicating stat.
