THE COMFORTSTAR AC UNIT COMES ON BUT THE COMPRESSOR DOESN'T. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT IT COULD BE? I AM A MAINTENANCE GUY FOR APARTMENTS. I AM SOME WHAT NEW AT THIS AND NEED ADVICE. THE MORE DETAILS, THE BETTER.

Turn off Caps-Lock. I would love to give you more assistance, but it is not allowed in this section of the forum as someone could get hurt if we gave advice here and it was not carefully followed...
There are a couple of potential problems, but you really need a qualified tech to determine which one it is. The two most likely culprits both start with a "C" and end with a "R". After you hire a tech to come out and look let us know which one it is...

And no, Cauliflower is not the problem... Although my kids might disagree with that diagnosis.

Jess, this is not a DIY site. If you are a professional, you'll need to get your post count up and then apply for professional status. Sounds like you need someone who knows this business to look at this unit.:.02:
