Hello everyone, I hope I'm not violating the rules. I read them all a few times. "3. No pricing questions please" Seems to pertain to asking questions regarding bidding a job or getting guys to bid against one another. If my post is inappropriate I apologize but I think I'm within the rules.

I did a job for a union electrician. He was selling a rental he owned. He gave me this ac unit. According to him it works great. I offered to give it to my parents for their house but they don't seem to want to pay to have it installed. I may wind up just selling it. It looks brand new with the exception of the stickers somewhat peeling off and some leaves getting on it from being on my porch all week. If anyone could tell me approximatly what it's worth and some of the details like how many tons it is I'd appreciate it. I tried to look it up myself online but I couldn't find anything. I suspect it's a 2 ton but I'm not sure. Thank you for your time.

Is it a poor unit or something? The electrician I got it from was under the impression that it was expensive. Admittedly, I know nothing about these units but I thought it would be worth more than nothing.

1. History is really unknown..does it have freon in it?
2. It has to match indoor coil... How are you going to find a buyer to match it?
3. Someone has to find a contractor to install it, all professional contractors wouldn't touch it.
4. What if you sell it and it doesn't work?

If you need some work done around the house, you can trade someone for it :)

In Mexico - maybe sell it for $26, squeezing the MOST out of it.
