Would there be much difference between a TXV for a 5 ton Lennox straight coil and a heat pump coil? I have a TXV for a Lennox 5 ton package heat pump and was going to use it on a straight cool 5 ton Lennox coil
should work fine some, vendors only sell HP valve for all units

Thanks, I myself couldn't see why it wouldn't work but I'm never one to have all the answers, lol

most manufactures just sell for heat which works for both but i had and issue this winter with a ruud coil that was ac only worked fine for ac but when switched to heatpump all hell broke loose it was like we shut off the suction valve took unit back to distributer and come to find out ruud had two types of coils one for ac only and one for heat pump/ac figures we got the straight ac only
