I had a three stage 95% natural gas furnace carrier brand installed and they vented it out onto the back patio so now if we sit outside and the heats on we breathe noxious fumes.
When they installed it the installer said they couldn't vent it out the side of the house because it was too long of a run About 50 feet., and that water would back up into the unit and cause problems.

After complaining about the fumes to them a couple times Now they're telling me that it is okay and they want to install it out the side of the house. They also have to do a 90° turn. Is this okay?

The furnace is going to be running a lot because we have a family member with health conditions and we have to keep the furnace between 78 to 80°. Is this going to cause any problems?

You sit outside on your patio in the wintertime? As long as they can vent it within the vent guidelines, and go out side of home I see no problem. The guidelines are printed in the installation instructions with unit. They should be familiar with the limits. :.02:

Would need the full model number in order for anyone to know if that long of a vebnt run is ok.

:ditto:

On another note, if the vent length is within allowable limits, make sure the insulate the exhaust vent as well.....

What size pipe they used might be helpful and the total number of 45 and 90 degree elbows incuding the very first on on the furnace and the ones on the pipes outside.

While we're at it, where do you live, how deep is the snow level there and how high off the ground did they instll the vent?

If this replaces an old furnace, by itself on a chimney, you can run the vent pipe up old (unused) chimney.
