horizontal trane air handler

Just got new cac installed. Installer did a very nice, clean install. My one concern is I'm wondering if he used a vertical air handler turned on its side to be used as a horizontal one. Is other a difference? Or are they made to be used for either way? Thanks...btw its a trane variable speed if anyone needs to know. Thanks.

Do you have the model number. With the model number, I can tell you. Is this one of the new Trane air handlers? The older style Trane air handlers depending on model and design could be used for either hor. Or ver. Application.

The new Trane air handlers for the most part can be used in either way as it is designed for either application. Again the model number would tell me. Are you having problems or just want to make sure.

The variable speed units, either 4TEE or Hyperion, were multi-position.
