Both companies make good equipment. Most companies make good equipment. The few exceptions are the ones who make cheap equipment. All manufacturers make everything from basic, entry level machines up to sophisticated variable speed, two-stage units.

The conclusion by Consumer Reports in 2001 was that they did not select a "best buy" brand. The contractor will make the difference between a good installation or a bad one.

BTW, I don't sell either of those brands but I repairs all brands.

Model numbers to be sure you are selling like products?

We've sold both brands for 20 years. I have some feelings but it varies by model.
