new cac install next week

Getting a new cac next week. All new, no previous system. Getting the trane 16 seer multi stage with variable speed air handler. Installer wants to put thermo on second floor since its much warmer up there, along with an additional return up there to draw the hot air. Seems like it makes sense.....any thoughts?

maybe a remote sensor for the first floor, you can set up the tstat to average between the 2.
