I have multiple quotes on a Buderus G115WS/4 boiler. Most contractors are recommending the AquaSmart over the Logamatic because they think it will be overkill for my 3 zones. The Logamatic would be an additional $1200. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The Logamatic is a much more powerful control than the Beckett Aquasmart. It also has greater programming detail than the Aquasmart. Are they going to install the ODR sensor for the Aquasmart?

They are not going to install the ODR sensor on the AquaSmart.

I would go with the Buderus. They have been at this for a lot longer than Beckett and understand outdoor reset, which is necessary for good efficiency. The $1200 will payback in spades. Unfortunately some companies come out with products just because they feel they have to have something new but efficiency demands in Germany mean that they develop products everyone wants and needs.

I would go with the Logamatic, the outdoor reset feature adds a large degree of comfort and is also responsible for the greater energy savings.
