I have been doing a little research on Heat Pipes for the control of humidity .... Any body have any knowledge or have seen one in use?

I use them, good product but the air handlers cost as much as a condensing unit

are they magic heat pipes?

I once spoke on the phone with the late "Airman1" of this board. He said he had seen some poor heat pipe installations and had removed them in order to deal with humidity his way. The message from this is they don't always work as you want, like anything else they must be properly designed and installed. Couple that with high price and I would be rather hesitant to invest, personally.
