You have to have CCT

but is mandatory to have CCT???......how do you configure "configurable output" to "Binary output" in CCT

Create the input, then, as berg suggested, go to define hardware and assign to input.

And yes it is mandatory.

In CCT under define hardware you add the new point, at this point you tell it is what it is, then you assign it to the physical point through define hardware. All done in CCT....

Are you on a customers computer, if so click on tools at the top and field tools cct. If it installed then it will run, if not you will get the error about the tool not being there...

With that error it means you do not have SCT or CCT installed. I am not sure who your supply is but they lied. You use internet explorer to make changes in the NAE but not the field devices. To get SCT and CCT you should contact your JCI and tell then you want to purchase the MS-SCTSWO-0.

CCT is the software tool that allows you to access the programming and parameters within the FEC. So you must have CCT to upload the FEC, make the changes, then download those new changes to the FEC. This is the tool that allows you to access "define hardware."

SCT is the tool that will allow you to upload and download your NAE. This also includes "passthrough components." So to upload/download an FEC through the NAE, you need SCT and CCT. If you just want to upload/download the FEC directly, than you need CCT and a bluetooth CVT.
