Hope you have a good concealed carry law there. I noticed that in the last 30 seconds, the news anchors asked the street reporter if that means more people are going to be armed.

There are groups of CPL citizens in the city organizing and patrolling to help fight crime.

Sorry to say it but this is what happens when no one want to pay taxes and what you do is of no interest to me. You get what you pay for.

I'm obviously not from Detroit, but IMO it is not a revenue problem but a spending problem that has gripped this town and is about ready to destroy the entire country.

Detroit has been under leftist control for decades; taxing those who produce to give away to those that don't.

Govt can only tax the producers so much before the producers in society decide to leave or find ways to avoid throwing their money down a rat-hole.

When you can produce more and more in China, it doesn't matter if you have NO taxes, Detroit will be an even bigger wasteland. It doesn't matter if the lefties or righties are in power, it is business.... and big American business believes it has no responsibility to the cities where it grew up. Only profits.

Forty Two cents of every dollar received,is paid out to interest on the debt.

They have 48 unions in that city,only two the fire dept and the police department are on defined contribution. The rest are on defined benefit from very very generous union contracts from days when the city was tops in the nation during or old and outdated industrial days.
