I found out why they install 2 ac's in these bigger houses. Apparently one is a back-up when the other one stops working and it is too exspensive to fix or replace.

Any guesses as to where we are headed?

Gee...wish I had enough disposable income to have a "backup" a/c system in my house in case one of 'em kicks the bucket. Them folks in them thar McMansions with multiple coolin' boxes just gotta be swimmin' in dough!
