heat pump question

I have Coleman heat pump 1995 model when the system calls for heat the outside unit comes on and runs until just before the fan comes on then the outside unit shuts off. If I leave the fan run all the time it does not do this.it only does it on the heat side works normal on the cool side

Time to call a repair company. Check the contractor locator map on this site for somebody in your area.

Sounds like there may be freon issues, will need to have system serviced.
