When you joined the site, there was a big no DIY sign, that you casually decided to ignore.

Amazing how many people just click agree.

Dad, can we PLEASE put in something in the agreement that says "If you post DIY advice, you must pay HVACvegas $5." ?

The reasons for the no DIY is a long list, but basically:
