Has anyone had success with using tea tree oil to remove a bad smell from an air duct? Do you have any other deoderizing recommendations?

We have a strong unpleasant smell coming from some of our ducts periodically. We've them cleaned and inspected repeatedly and the duct cleaning company has told us that this smell is symptomatic of old air ducts. The house was built in 1973.

Thank you

can you recommend something?

We had our air conditioning off all winter and now this horrible smell has started eminating throughout the ducting system (it's not mold, as we had it inspected - merely an old fiber glass duct smell)

thanks, but the duct folks who took a look said that sealing the ducts would not have any impact. The smell is due to the age of the ducts (1973)

why do tea trees need oil?

do a search here on "dirty sock syndrome"

if it just started it might not be the ducts...

bleach/water is the cure.
