Anybody use these isolators on a trane condensing unit?

Since you're asking this question in the middle of winter, are you speaking of a pure cooling system or a heat pump that both heats and cools? If the former, then yes, we use them all the time as they're shipped with the units in a plastic bag. If the latter, the unit should be elevated on pump-ups so the HP can drain during defrost cycles and in that instance we do not use isolators.

It is a heat pump. Here is a picture. How can I tell if it is on pump-ups?

I found a pic of the pump-ups. I would say less than 1 out of every 10 in my complex has those. Most of them are just mounted on a pad directly on the ground. They are not even elevated on blocks like mine.
Do the Trane HPs require pump-ups and will the rubber isolators be enough instead?

We use to get them quarterly on Arizona Trane's web-site thanks to a GREAT FSR named Eric Weist " spelling". Unfortunately for us he moved to Tyler for a new job with Trane in product development.:gah:

jimj, according to that PDF of the Trane Tracks news letter, there were 3 parts to the series and one part was structureborne, which you posted, and one was airborne. Do you have the "airborne sound transfer" edition of that news letter?
