Whats the requirments to start a buisness? I hear conflicting stories as if you need a Class B or A contractors licience. This will be for food service repair, no new installs. I know you need to pull permits on new installs and I know your supposed to pull permits over a certain dollar amount (nobody does though) but do you need that to just open a buisness?

I know I'll need a gas licence but thats easy. What will I need to work on small coolers and freezers other than the EPA? Thanks

Locally, in most areas, you can get an appliance repair license which will allow you to basically work on anything that plugs into the wall. Any work that requires a permit for the work to be performed requires a state registered or state certified contractor license.

Check with your city/county contractor or occupational licensing people. Ask kindly for their help and you will receive.

I used to live in florida, we did ultra low chambers, there was something in the definition of appliance that was screwey, can t remember what it was, but put in a big chamber in melbourne 5 30 HP and 1 15 HP, got **** from local inspector, and in the end was classified as an appliance

I worked in Florida for about 10 years last year . . . at least it seemed like 10 years. They want you to be licensed to pick your nose and although you may have insurance whereever you come from, and it may be a nationally recognized company, you'll have to drop it and place your insurnace with a Florida insurance company and you'll pay a 70% premium.

I don't care if the next hurricane blows them off the map.
