This is a H.Eff. furnace.,age unknown. It has the spark ign. pilot.,with seperate flame sensor. Have had 2 "no heat" calls on it. When I arrive it is working properly. I have observed the blower running.,(Lock-out?) But after repowering cant get to act up. Any thoughts.,as I dont see alot of Armstrongs around here. Had a new ign module last year.An inducer motor this year. Did clean flame sensor, check high limit operation, cleaned all condensate hoses. Thanks ahead!

For age I don't know but those spark to pilot models suck. Checked for vent blockage ? and clean pilot including orifice. Sensor rod and spark rod together in one assembly right ? Don't know that I've seen one with a remote sensor.

I've seen a lot of them and they are a nuisance. Gotten' em running and a week or two later same thing. Double check all connections and be thankful you don't see a lot of those.

Like I told one owner the other day while troubleshooting his smartvalve model. Pointed out the Armstrong Air tag and said the middle name is nuisance.

80s of some sort. Spark pilot with some type of S8600 or the competition's system. Usually pretty reliable. Did you measure flame sense current?

You sed you cleaned condensate lines so it's 90 percent. I haven't seen any 90 percent armstrongs around . Just 80. That get clogged pressure ports. But the newer York furnaces sometime get flooded inducers witch cause the no heat and the furnace to work when you get to customers house. On the Yorks if you vent lines are not ran right it could cause that.
